Baby Island Lodge is an enchanting place for your family vacation or getaway with friends. Hot tub, garden, patios, decks, barbecue, campfire pit, on the water. Open concept state-of-the-art kitchen fully equipped including two garbage disposals, 2 deep large sinks, small prep sink, professional gas range with griddle, grill and very large oven, double glass-door refrigerator, padded floor and high countertops for comfortable cooking. Formal dining room extends into the sunroom and opens to the deck with picnic tables overlooking the water, or use the sunroom to play table games or work a puzzle with the whole family. Sitting room has wood-burning fireplace with wood pass-through, music system for the house, small library, large antique oak table extends to seat everyone. Gathering room features an excellent upright grand piano, large French doors opening to the garden, TV/VCR, great collection of videos (100+), books and music. Delightful full-surround garden mural. Upstairs are two large bedrooms each with a queen and two single beds, table and chairs in front of expansive views. Master bedroom with bath, gas fireplace, balcony, TV/VCR and independent music system also looks out to the water. Queen "Murphy" bed folds to the wall to make the space available as a small sitting room or private dining. Utility room with laundry facilities and supplies. Basement with extra tables of several sizes. Kitchen probably has every small appliance you can think of and pots and pans to cook for any size group. This home has spacious rooms in which the whole group can gather as well as small private areas where one can get away for a moment of quiet. The front yard is large enough for family games and is enclosed by the garden growing on a handsome lattice fence. Murals throughout the lodge add an element of fantasy and romance which will surprise and delight you. You will want to return again and again with your family to enjoy the relaxed and pleasant experience this home provides for its guests. Whidbey Island is known in the area for it's beautiful rural countryside, parks and waterfront. You will also find small villages with interesting shops, all the services you would expect to find in a city including exercise clubs, tennis courts, golf, massage therapists, restaurants...and some activities special to this area such as whale watching cruises, the several "Fort" parks of historical interest, and small town experiences. There is a very active bird-watching community, for good reason; I recently counted 34 eagles in the air circling above my house at once--certainly an exceptional sight. Formal dining room seats 12, sunroom extends the dining area for another 12, large oak table with leaves in the sitting room with fireplace adds another 12, picnic tables on the deck for 12 with large gas barbecue. Master bedroom is flexible space with queen size Murphy bed which folds to the wall, gas fireplace, private deck, TV/VCR/Cable, Bose sound system and 50 CD player, elegant with silk sari curtains, fully muralled walls and expansive view of the water. Sitting room with fireplace and wood pass-thru, small library, large CD and VCR movie collection, excellent upright grand piano in the gathering room which opens to the garden where your family has room for games. Laundry room, all linens and towels and paper products , spices and many food staples provided. Music system throughout the house allows volume control in three separate areas for quiet in one area and party in another. On and on and on, you won't believe the amenities in this home.
