The Mougle Lodge is "Cozy Cabin". The perfect retreat for a single person, a couple or a small family up to 4. Located on a large residential lot in Tahoe Donner. The property has 2 buildings. The Owners live in the mainhouse and the "Mougle Lodge" is a large "Loft" cabin over the garage with aproximately 700 square feet of living space for you to call home. Owners travel back and forth to their Reno home, so are seldom home. However, we are good company to have nearbye if you need anything or want to have a BBQ with us! We respect the privacy of our Guest so won't bother you and expect the same courtesy, unless you request our company. The Lodge was recently remodeled and refurnished with beautiful highend Mountain furnishings and has a 4-poster queen bed and trundle bed to sleep up to a family of 4. Other features are hardwood hickory floors, highbeam pine ceilings, wetbar, gas fireplace, downstairs is a "compact kitchen" with everything you need to cook your meals and a full bathroom. Off of the upstairs loft is a separate deck with a Bistro table and 2 chairs. Outside (shared) is a deck between the two houses with BBQ and patio table and chairs.

* 500 square feet of living space upstairs
* 105 square feet area downstairs with a "Compact kitchen (refridgerator, sink, 2 burner stove). Convection "Brick" oven, freezer, microwave, coffee pot and other small kitchen appliances and kitchenware to cook up any meal.
* 95 square feet bathroom with a stand up tiled "2-Butt" shower, toilet and vanity sink.
* 40 square feet private deck
* Sleeping = Queen Bed, twin size Trundle bed pulls out to sleep 2. Maximum occupancy is 4 people.
* Comfortable dark suede leather 3 seater couch and dark suede leather rocker/recliner.
* Built in Bar/Table with 4 barstools in the living area
* Flat screen TV, DVD player, Harmon Kardon Receiver, HK surround sound speakers, JVC 5 disk CD changer, subwoofer.
* Digital Cable TV and Wireless Internet
* Gas fireplace for heating, ceiling fan for cooling.
* Wetbar with mini fridge and sink upstairs, full mini kitchen downstairs.
* Deck outside your room has a nice Bistro table and 2 chairs to enjoy the great outdoors.
* Shared Deck is set up with a BBQ, Picnic table and patio table and 4 chairs and umbrella
* Quiet residential neighborhood with only 20% of the Owners living in the Tahoe Donner neighborhoods. We have full time neighbors on each side and many vacation homes nearbye.
* Miles of hiking trails and nature walks to take in the smell of the Pine Trees and wildlife.
* Tahoe Donner Association is famous for the many amenities to provide the ultimate Lifestyle for Owners and their Guests. All within 5 - 7 minutes drive from the Mougle Lodge. ** Take a look at the Winter photos. You'll need a vehicle with 4-wheel Drive and/or at least chains to get up and down Mougle in the winter! Lots of snow!

We had a wonderful time at the Mougle Lodge. Some of the bigger things that we enjoyed were:
*The place was very clean and well maintained
*Nice layout- perfect amount of space for us (family of 3)
*Great access to Tahoe Donner facilities and Truckee
*All the amenities of home with the close proximity to lots of activities
*Very reasonable price (as compared to hotels and other rentals)
*Owner was friendly and responsive to questions about property I would recommend this property to any couple looking for a quiet getaway in Tahoe! Great Place!

Spent 2 days in Sept and found the place perfect for 2, comfy bed, all tastefully decorated and all comforts of home. Will be going back and would recommend for anyone with 2-3 people. Bed was very comfy!
Had several nice chats with the owners on premises-this is our second stay with these fine folks. Only reason rated 4 and not 5 is bathroom and shower downstairs as is kitchen and food prep area. Liviving and b/room upstairs and seperate. No biggie just the way it is laid out. Definitely would recommend.

"The Mougle Lodge was the perfect respite for kicking off my retirement years. I was the fourth guest and spent 16 days there in July and early August, 2009. With a small, well stocked kitchen area, great flat screen TV, wireless internet, comfortable bed, small outdoor deck and two refrigerators plus one freezer, it contains all necessary amenities. The location is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. I fished several of the regions' lakes, plus the Truckee River during my stay. Access to hiking is also excellent. A big plus is the proximity to the town of Truckee, which has lots of character plus great restaurants and pubs! Trudy and Mark were the most gracious hosts! It is important to know that while they live on the premises, there was never an issue of feeling that there was not enough privacy. The lodge is close to the main home, but Mark and Trudy were most respectful of the fact that I was on vacation! I would highly recommend this little gem if you're planning a few days in Truckee to fish, hike, ski or just get away from it all!

Your loft, kitchen and large new shower were all wonderful. Nights were quiet with virtually no traffic on the residential street which makes your location easy to find. Walks through the neighborhood in the morning were refreshing and all others seen on the route were friendly and polite, including Einstein - the neighbors loveable but shy lab who would walk on the deck in the morning and stand waiting for me to give him a pat on the head while I drank coffee and discussed the events for the upcoming day. As owners, you were close by and helpful if we had questions, but were never intrusive. The 700 sq ft space seemed very spacious, the beds very comfortable, and there was everything we needed to have a wonderful stay, We put this property down as a great find in our ventures away from home. When we come back to the Tahoe area, no question where we will try to stay. I would recommend this property unconditionally to anyone who likes what they see in your photos, because what you see is what you get - and more. "The top-notch furnishings and amenities in the Mougle Lodge pleasantly surprised us. From the Brita pitcher to the down comforters and pillows, it is obvious that Mark and Trudy take great pride in their property. Thank you Trudy and Mark for your extra efforts in making our stay first rate. After staying at the Mougle Lodge, we don't think we would be as happy staying anywhere else.
