Luxuriate in the seclusion of this lovely oceanfront, custom home dramatically situated on the edge of the lush, green cliffs adjacent to historic Waipio Valley. The Cliff House offers unobstructed, truly breathtaking views of the ocean, coastal cliffs and valley waterfalls from the spacious cliffside lanai, as well as from within the house itself. Surrounded by over 40 acres of pastureland that assures total privacy (except from our horses you'll see in the pastures), the Cliff House has two bedrooms with queen beds, one full bath, a fully-equipped kitchen and living/dining room. Waipi`o Valley, the famous "Valley of the Kings", and the surrounding 23 miles of bluffs, waterfalls, black sand beaches and winding rivers, offer unlimited opportunities for hiking, picnicking or just relaxing in the valley. This location is truly an immersion in rural "old Hawaii", while only 15 minutes from the lovely town of Honoka'a, with its shops and restaurants; and less than an hour's drive from the towns of Waimea and Hilo, offering an even greater selection of fine shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities. While here at our website you can also check out one of the activities at the Top of Waipi`o including horseback riding, ATV and 4x4 adventures. Follow the links at the bottom of our pages to check out these Big Island Activities.

Additional Information:
On a ridge, high above the Waipio Valley exists some of the most spectacular scenery on the Island of Hawaii. The sugar cane companies have long restricted access to this pristine area. Recently purchased by the Bishop Estate, the full impacts of these views are just now being discovered. These overlooks are only accessible on horseback, on foot, by 4-wheel drive, or by mountain bike. Even helicopters are not allowed to get that close to the rim above the valley floor. Your journey begins at the Waipio Valley Artworks headquarters. Rugged views and extensive beauty awaits you on these tours. The spectacular Hi'ilawe falls, the valley floor, and the black sand beaches of the Pacific unfold before you. Gently Rolling Hills, Mauna Kea, and the valley mountains come into full view at the lookout. Here in a grove of Ohia trees , you pause to relax, have a beverage and discover the power of looking down into the Waipio Valley. Descending gently through open fields, you will find cows, sugar cane, wild flowers, and majestic Haleakala on the isle of Maui, twenty-five miles away. Rolling fields of upland taro await you as you travel back to Kukuihaele farms and the stable. Hele Mai Kakou, accept our invitation to come and experience these great activities in the lush surroundings of the Waipio Valley overlook. Waipio, the land of Curving Water, is one of the scenic wonders of Hawaii. Experience one of the most verdant valleys and wander through the meandering rivers that flow between the taro patches until they lose themselves in the breathtaking surf at the ocean's edge.
