Pine Island is a beautiful barrier island with Saint James City on the south side of the island and Bokeelia on the northern tip. The bridge to Pine Island is bordered by the quaint fishing village of Matlacha. The artist coummunity on Pine Island is very active and local artisan works can be found in many local shops and studios. Only moments by boat will take you to some of the best fishing grounds in the area. The world famous beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Islands are also only a short distance by boat.
