This spacious but cozy 4 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin is rustic yet provides all the modern conveniences for up to 11 guests. Our nearby guest house sleeps 4. Amenities include:- Master Bedroom with queen size 4-poster bed,private bath with claw-foot tub and shower. - Wildflower Room with 2 full size beds. - Cave Room with 2 extra-long twin beds. - Sun Porch with twin day bed and full size futon. - Guest bath with tub and shower - Our nearby guest house sleeps 4 with a queen bed and full futon, kitchen and dining area and bathroom with shower Our roomy kitchen includes a Jennair range, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, blender, all necessary cookware and dishes, washer and dryer. The Great Room, with its vaulted ceilings and window-wall, provides a sense of spaciousness and beautiful views of the Deer Meadow, Reynolds Mountain and the Little Buffalo River valley. It is also furnished with unique lodge-style furniture, a beautiful soapstone wood stove with viewing window,oak hardwood floors, ceiling fans, satellite TV, DVD and CD players, telephone (phone card needed for long distance calls), high speed wireless internet, central heat and air. Outside, My Blue Heaven includes a large wrap-around deck with picnic table, gas grill, and 7-person hot tub- great for watching the deer play in the meadow. There is a campfire pit in the yard for roasting hot dogs and marshmellows, and another at the swimming hole. The grounds are extensively landscaped with a water garden and wildlife attractants. We provide a selection of lawn games including croquet, badminton, and horseshoes. There's even a playhouse hidden among the trees for the kids. Photographers love it here! We go to great lengths to attract wildlife with attractant plants, food plots and multiple feeding stations. We have fixed ground blinds placed near feeding stations and a portable ground blind for other areas so you can great close-up shots of birds and mammals and we have even improved the aquatic habitat of the river for underwater photographers. And opportunities abound for landscape photography, both here and nearby.

Activities and Nearby Attractions or Points of Interest:
If just kicking back in the hot tub or watching the deer with your morning coffee, or taking a dip in the swimming hole isn't enough to get your blood pumping, we can suggest some more strenuous activities here and nearby: During warm weather, grab your water shoes, mask and snorkel or spinning rod and explore the river. Each hole of water has its own character and inhabitants. During high water, experienced canoeists find paddling the Little Buffalo a challenging and exhilarating experience without the crowds that are often present on the Buffalo National River. Put in at our ford, paddle to Parthenon or Jasper and arrange for a shuttle back. Mountain biking into the headwaters of the Little Buffalo. Roads, trails and some single-track paths are available. My Blue Heaven is located near the center of Newton County, which encompasses some of the most ruggedly beautiful terrain in the Ozark Mountains, with 6 of the 10 highest peaks in the bioregion. Over half of the county is public land, including the Buffalo National River, the Ozark National Forest and State Wildlife Management Areas. Opportunities abound for the outdoor enthusiast including: Canoeing - A short 30 minute drive will put you at Ponca and some of the best whitewater floating on the Buffalo National River. If water levels are lower, put-in points from Pruitt to Tyler Bend are within easy reach. Hiking - Nearby hikes include Alum Cove, just a 15 minute drive from My Blue Heaven, the Buffalo River Trail, and the Ozark Highlands Trail Caving - Nearby commercial caves include Mystic Caverns, about 30 minutes away, And Blanchard Springs Caverns, a couple of hours away. Arrangements can be made for guided tours of nearby wild caves. Rock Climbing - Sam's Throne, Horseshoe Canyon and Cave Creek Canyon, are all within a 30-40 minute drive and include some of the best routes in the Ozarks. Wildlife watching - Besides the abundant wildlife on the property, nearby Jasper is known as the "Elk Capital of Arkansas" and large herds can frequently be viewed in the Ponca and Erbie areas. We can also help with arrangements for horseback riding, mountain biking and guided fishing trips.

Additional Information:
While remote and secluded, My Blue Heaven is only 15 minutes from Jasper with a grocery store and several good restaurants, and only an hour and a half from both Branson, MO and Eureka Springs with their unique shops, restaurants and music shows.Outdoor pets are welcome and a spacious covered kennel is provided. Well trained and clean pets may be allowed indoors during periods of inclement weather, subject to prior approval. My Blue Heaven offers great lodging in the Ozark Mountains.
