Enter the front door, to find The Silver Seashell professionally designed in the charm of a seaside cottage. From the oak staircase, with its spindled 3-story atrium up to the Widow's Walk, to the seashell prints hung tastefully in the front hall, you will be drawn into the inviting atmosphere of this home by the sea.
Three bedrooms are located on this first level. The master bedroom and one other bedroom have outside decks to enjoy morning coffee or just quiet time. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, TV with satellite, DVD and VCR. Designer coordinated bedding adds to the seaside feeling. On the second level is the open, light-filled great room with cathedral ceiling and French doors. The kitchen with its solid surface counters is equipped to satisfy the tastes of the most discriminating gourmet cook. A breakfast bar is adjacent to the kitchen. The dining area with its 12-foot bay window provides an inviting atmosphere for casual or formal dining. The family room provides a comfortable entertainment area with 32-inch TV with satellite, 5 DVD/CD player, VCR and a Bose SoundDock so you can bring your iPod and enjoy your own music. An extensive library of recent movies for both adults and children is available for everyone's enjoyment. The adjacent screened porch is a perfect place to watch the sunset, read a book, or to enjoy quiet games of cards. A fourth full bathroom can also be found on this level. The third level Widow's Walk offers the perfect place to get away. This quiet hideaway is equipped with a twin-sized day bed, a desk/chair with a Dell laptop with high-speed wireless Internet (you can also access the high-speed wireless with your own laptop anywhere in the house) and a HP printer/fax/scanner/copier. It provides inside access to the observation deck with some of the best views of the Gulf and Bay, and a place to enjoy the serenity and beauty of island living. Included in your rental package is membership in the North Captiva Island Club Resort which offers two heated pools, spa, Har Tru lighted tennis courts (2), free use of kayaks, bicycles, beach chairs etc. The club also offers a fitness center with life cycle, life steps, a rower and a universal. A bathhouse with sauna and massage therapy is available as well. A 4 seat electric cart is also included in your rental package. Additional golf carts can be rented at 45.00/day (depending on availability).
Linens and bath towels as well as paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, (dish, laundry, and bath) are provided. Cribs and playpens are available upon request.
