This pastoral valley is only minutes to all of the mountain attractions and activities that lure visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains - yet away from all the tourist crowds! Just 7 miles from Exit 15 off Interstate 40 to your mountain retreat.
The Gristmill House was converted from a gristmill that served the local Fines Creek community in the early 1900's. The building is constructed of Wormy Chestnut wood inside and out; the mill stone was driven by a gasoline engine. The open style of our guesthouse is approximately 500 square feet

From the screen porch in the Mill or the sunroom in the Farmhouse you can view the surrounding mountains and pasturelands while listening to the songbirds and the rushing creek. Sit in your rocker and relax! Humming birds and finches and other wild life will entertain you-no fee! But please keep the feeders full-seed and nectar is provided at both houses for the birds.
