Cabin in the Pines is a contemporary mountain chalet in the Smokies. It has an elevated deck on three sides with plenty of wood and glass to bring the outside in. It is fully equipped with a gourmet kitchen, washer, and dryer. There's a stone fireplace in the greatroom, a king sized bed and bath in the loft, and an equally comfortable bedroom downstairs with a separate bath.

Biltmore House: Visit the mountain home of the Vanderbilt family. Tour the mansion, winery, and grounds. The Bitmore Estate is open seven days a week and is closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas.Clingman's Dome: Nothing needs to be said. Visit the wonderful Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Tour Cades Cove, Clingman's Dome, and other exciting sites. Dry Falls: Visit Dry Falls on Highway 64 outside of Franklin. A short walk will bring you to the 75 foot falls. Mingo Falls: These falls are spectacular and very close to Cherokee. The falls are located along an easy trail with water dropping 120 feet. Mountain Farm Museum: See how the people lived years gone by. This museum is located just a bit north of Cherokee and will entertain and enlighten the whole family. The Nantahala Outdoor Center is just a few minutes away! Take a train! The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is less than twenty minutes down the road. Visit a virgin forest. Go to the Joyce Kilmer Forest and hike to trees and vistas that will take your breath away. Take the Cherahala Skyline with elevations of over 6,000 feet. Stop, hike a bit, see beautiful vistas, and have lunch in Tellico at the other end of the Skyline. Visit the Fontana Dam for a marvel of history and a tour of its workings. Go to Deep Creek, less than thirty minutes away, and rent a tube. This is hilarious fun for kids from two to eighty! Check out the waterfalls; there are numerous hikes to some spectacular ones. OK! Something too wonderful...rent a pontoon boat on Santeelah Lake for the day. Take along a picnic lunch and your camera, a fishing pole, etc. Bring a book. Lounge around on your pontoon boat and explore coves, see wildlife, and distant mountains...YES! Go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and visit Cades Cove. Go to Cataloochee and see elk reintroduced into the Smokies. Take a horseback ride through the Stecoah Valley. Fish! With a license, you can fish anywhere, and you will catch them!
